Rice Wonder Cafe & Eco Resort

Amazing huts which are hard to find these days, beautiful natural setting, gracious staff and all necessary facilities

It was a really relaxing place to chill-out. The location was ideal, not far from the beach which made the other beaches easily accessible. We had a small dog, and this wasn't a problem at all. The staff were amazingly friendly and I'd definitely stay there again.

It is something different, not your run of the mill hotel room. A teeny tiny bamboo hut, hardly larger than the double bed inside, no air con, a single power outlet... And yet, it'll charm you in minutes.I called it basic and rudimentary, but my wife thought it was really romantic. Felt like camping in the wilderness - even the shared bathroom (the structure right next door) added to the feeling of camping. Granted not everyone likes having to dress up and walk to an outdoor toilet in the middle of the night, but for me it was a return to childhood. Loved it.

The tarmac that goes to the hotel from the main road is most definitely not suitable for two cars. It's only a couple of hundred metres long, but it's too narrow. Going in, we came across a motorbike in the "oncoming" lane, and we had to struggle to let it pass. Imagine two full size cars, one coming, one leaving - it would be a very painful drive in reverse, down a narrow, winding single lane, or one car pulling over too much and ending up in the ditch. Definitely an issue worth looking into.Second, there was an ashtray on the table outside the hut. Really?The hut is made of bamboo, it's in the middle of a dried-up rice paddy with stalks below, and we're in the middle of summer.... That's a disaster waiting to happen, should someone carelessly toss their still burning cigarette away. Please consider setting up a smokers' corner in a safer location.

We stayed at the Rice Wonder Cafe on our trip between Koh Munnork and Koh Chang. The staff were very kind and thanks to Google translate we managed to communicate with the manager. The breakfast was simple but more than enough. They also offered us some mozzi spray as with all the water around the cottages there were lots of mozzis. We went for long walks and saw many farms - rubber, pineapples and durians etc. The rooms are small but it provided everything that we needed. We will stay here again in future, maybe even longer and spend time walking or renting bikes to see more of the countryside.

The food was really good, the rooms were clean and comfy, the outdoor garden was lovely and the staff were very accommodating with our requests.

There were children playing with skateboard and scooter outside. Besides that it was not safe, they made noises on the wooden path.

The property was beautifully presented and the setting was perfect. The food was also some of the best we have had while in Thailand. The laid back nature of the property offered the whole family some down time in the middle of a hectic tour of Thailand!

A bit tricky to get to but we’ll worth the journey for a stop off between Koh Chang and Bangkok

It should be good place in the future, Now May 2023 it's still not complete yet. Beautiful place for restaurant, flowers, cozy corners, music. Bungalow have small terrace.

The budget room is sooo small, only matrass fit in the room on the floor. Have teapot, but how to use it? Sitting on the matrass? The toilet has no roof, that cause no shade, sitting on the hot sun. a path to small bungalow is narrow and unkempt. The road to resort not yet finished to built. And on the sunday morning, excavator starts working just next to my place. In restaurant was no fresh fruits to make any fresh drinks, only frozen ones.

Love everything there: the place, staff, food and nature. Exceeded my expectation.

wifi is weak in the room

The staff were so friendly and it was such a unique place to stay. The food was also excellent.

The water temperature in the shower just wasn't quite hot enough for me, but we did visit during an unseasonably cold winter. Apart from that, the whole experience was perfect.

Everything was perfect! Great hosts, beautiful cared place and really good food and COFFEE! Enjoyed our stay so much, thank You! Definitly one of our favorite places in years, we'll come back!

Only negative is that wi-fi is not always great

Run by a wonderful young couple, Khun Wah and Alexi, this is a blissful retreat 5 minutes from the road. "back to nature" experience, this resort offers food, drinks and a complimentary breakfast with coffee and juice. Will defo go back.Tip: Go to the Spring day cafe and go up the drive on the left

A wonderful place to rest. The hotel has a lot of charm in the middle of the rice fields. It should be noted that the facilities are very clean and well maintained. Both the bamboo rooms (traditional, with fan and futons) and the stone rooms (with air conditioning and superior comfort) combine an original and attractive design. The restaurant also recommended with its local specialties. And all without forgetting the friendliness and kindness of the Finnish&Thai owners. A place where the quality-price ratio is unbeatable and which deserves its name: the Rice Wonder. I'll be back in two weeks!

The vibe of the place is truly amazing! Any weather is perfect here, even if it is raining. You feel that you are really welcome, everything is so cozy, comfy and clean... We've been lucky to have a chance to stay here during our journey through Rayong province - and we will do it again with no doubts! Living at the rice field - what would be more wonderful in Thailand?!

The water in the room are too expensive than normal.
